The "Oscar" of the Consumer Electronics Industry.

FulTech Solutions, a 15 year old Jacksonville based, high-technology company, has been named as the CEA/Consumer Electronics Association (think CES Show in Vegas) Mark of Excellence "Integrator of the Year" award winner. This national award recognizes the Top dealer or integrator in the electronics integration/AV industry from industry involvement, expertise, experience, industry awards over the years and quality of installations/projects. Winners were announced at a gala event, this month's Mark of Excellence Awards dinner at the EH Expo in Orlando, Florida on March 19th.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. USGBC is composed of more than 15,000 organizations from across the building industry that are working to advance structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.

'Smart Home' technology a growing industry

Dan Fulmer was just curious when he attended the Electronic House Expo in Orlando in 1995. He'd just graduated from the University of Central Florida with a computer science degree, so an exhibition hall on a technologically wired home was right up his alley.

"I knew this was cool stuff," he said. "I just didn't know how well it worked, and how commercial it would be to make money off it."

Green Light

Lighting control has long been one of many systems that Oldsmar, Fla.-based S&S Electric installs for its customers. But in the last several months, vice president Shawn Smith has seen the technology in a new light-specifically, a green one...

"We've all been doing smart homes for 15 years now, and all of a sudden this green thing has caught on,"says Dan Fulmer, president of FulTech Solutions, a high-end home automation installer in Jacksonville, Fla.
